At Eikaiwa STAGE we like to get our students moving as much as possible. Our mission is to enjoy learning English through participation and action in the classroom.
We help our students build confidence in conversation by teaching them conversation techniques and giving them support in the art of public speaking. This allows our students to overcome nerves and speak confidently to strangers and in front of big crowds. These skills help our students progress and do well well in the real world.
we have students practice reading books, poems, and monologues in front of each other.
We use singing as a tool to help students develop good pronunciation, annunciation, voice projection and smooth reading skills.
We use scripts to help the students interact in english as a group.
Reading and writing
Nice to meet you everyone! I am from England, land of Roast Beef and Queen Elizabeth. I have an extensive background in music and teaching. I am a graduate of Lichfield Cathedral School and Marlborough College. My passion is in using music and drama in the classroom in a way that inspires and provokes language acquisition. In my free time I take part in a theatre company and I love playing and writing music. During my time in Japan I have enjoyed teaching in a variety of schools most notably Nanzan Girls Junior & Senior Highschool, NUFS, NUAS, Sugiyama Jogakuin, and Chubu University.
I am very keen to meet you and show you how English can be taught in a fun but extremely productive way through the use of drama and music.
